- Make ready 2 cups washed Basmathi rice
- Take Pinch salt
- Make ready 2 cups chicken broth
- Get 2 cups water
- Get Orange colouring diluted with water (optional)
- Prepare 1 piece heated charcoal with oil (optional)
- Take Roasted Chicken
- Get 4 pieces drumsticks from the soup
- Take 2 teaspoon curry powder
- Prepare 2 teaspoon chilli powder
- Take 2 tablespoon oil
- Take 1 tablespoon honey
- Take Chilli Dipping Sauce
- Prepare 2 red chillies
- Get 1 tomato
- Take 1 clove garlic
- Prepare 1/4 cups water
- Take Coriander leaves to garnish
- Take Salt and sugar to taste
- Prepare Veggie
- Get Cucumber diced
- Get Tomatoes diced
- Make ready Red onion diced
- Get Salt and sugar to taste
- Take Lemon juice to taste
Instructions to make Nasi Arab Simple:
- For chicken broth: boil all ingredients until chicken tenders
- For rice: heat oil and butter/ghee in a wok
- Lightly fry onion, garlic, cinnamon, cloves, star anise, bay leaves in the wok
- Lightly fry washed basmathi rice into the wok
- Transfer everything from wok to rice cooker and add chicken broth, water and salt
- Cook the rice until fluffy
- (Optional) Make few holes using chopstick in the rice cooker, pour diluted orange colouring through the holes and leave it for few minutes
- Stir the rice after the colour has set
- For roasted chicken: preheat oven to 150°c
- Mix all then pour into the drumsticks
- Marinate the drumsticks for 10 minutes
- Bake the chicken in an oven for 20 minutes with 150°c
- For chilli dipping sauce: put chillies, tomatoes and garlic into chopper
- Mix water, salt and sugar
- Then garnish with coriander leaves
- For veggie: mix all into a bowl
- For chicken soup: pour balance chicken broth in a bowl, add salt to taste, garnish with coriander leaves and fried shallots
- (Optional) To have smokiness taste: put roasted chicken on top of cooked rice in the rice cooker
- Create small bowl using aluminium foil, put the bowl between the chicken
- Place heated charcoal in the bowl, pour few spoons of oil on the charcoal
- Close lid of the rice cooker and leave it until charcoal stop burning
