  3. Heat the steamer and prepare for the moulds. I used mini pudding moulds for these. Then coat them thinly with some oil.
  4. Take one mould, put 1 tbsp of the rice flour mixture. Add the shredded palm sugar and pandan leaves then top again with the rice flour mixture. Push softly. Do it until everything is finished.
  5. Put them in the steamer and steam until cooked through for about 30 minutes.
  6. Take them out of the steamer. Then take them out of the moulds.
  7. Enjoy while it is warm with a cup of hot coffee or tea.
  8. Add some more shredded coconut. Decorate with some pandan leabes if you'd like.

You would have to go to an Asian market to find them probably. I used a bowl instead and stuck it in the steamer. It worked out, the cake is way bigger than it would normally be. Palm sugar is placed in the center of rice flour as a filing and the tube is then filled up to the top with the remaining rice flour. If you use metal mold, make sure you brush the inside with oil so that the cake won't stick.
