Whenever I cook this dish, my house will be filled with the wonderful aroma of the simmering chicken, sesame oil and ginger which is so familiar and therapeutic. Instructions to make Sesame oil chicken (麻油雞):
- Boil water into wok and put some salt - Cut chicken into slices and put inside - - Wait until you see water boil then close fire this is to reduce chicken smell
- Take the chicken meat out and put asidde
- Cut garlic into slices
- Cut ginger into slices
- Put sesame oil into wok and heat with small medium fire
- Throw in garlic slice
- Throw in ginger slice
- Goreng until brownish color
- Takr the chicken and put into it
- Put soya sauce and add in sesame oil as needed
- Then let the chicken入味
- Then put water several times each time with small amount to create gravy
- Then let it heat up and boil for 3 - 5 mins
- Then put some ajinomoto
- Done
